How to Resolve FTP IP Blocking
Repeated failed logins can cause a firewall or security service to block the client IP address.
Confirm the cause
Test the hosting panel and website from the same connection, then try a different network. Review the FTP client log for authentication, timeout or passive mode errors.
Remove the block safely
Correct saved credentials before requesting an unblock. Hosting administrators should inspect firewall logs and remove only the verified client IP.
Prevent recurrence
Delete obsolete saved passwords, use SFTP when available and avoid repeated automatic retries with incorrect credentials.
