DNS Records Guide: A, CNAME, MX, TXT and TTL
DNS records determine how a domain reaches websites, email and verification services.
Record types
A maps to IPv4, AAAA maps to IPv6, CNAME creates an alias, MX selects mail servers and TXT carries verification and email authentication data.
TTL
TTL controls how long resolvers cache a response. Existing answers may remain visible until their previous TTL expires.
