When choosing a VDS for a project that serves visitors or customers in Türkiye, looking only at the amount of CPU and RAM is not enough. The server's location, network route, NVMe storage, KVM virtualisation, DDoS protection and management options should be evaluated together.
When does a Türkiye-located VDS help?
If most of your audience is in Türkiye, physical proximity helps reduce network latency. A local location makes sense for management panels, in-house applications, game services, latency-sensitive APIs and projects that serve a lot of content to Türkiye. Before buying, we recommend measuring ping and route to the test IP from several cities.
How do you choose vCPU, RAM and NVMe capacity?
Besides the number of vCPUs, the processor generation and per-core performance matter. On dynamic websites PHP and database queries dominate, while on game servers single-core performance often stands out.
- RAM: Choose it according to the total needs of the operating system, control panel, database, cache and applications.
- NVMe: It can reduce disk wait time in projects that produce heavy queries, many small files and logs.
- Port and traffic: Read the port speed, monthly transfer and fair-use terms together.
KVM virtualisation and full control
KVM lets the virtual machine run with its own independent operating system. With root or administrator access you can configure the web server, firewall, database and application components for your project. This flexibility matters for projects that need special services or software versions.
What does the FiberVM customer panel provide?
FiberVM lets you carry out basic server management tasks without waiting for a support ticket:
- Monitor CPU, RAM, disk and traffic usage
- Start, stop and restart the server
- Remote screen access through the VNC console
- Reinstall supported operating systems
- Manage passwords, snapshots and rDNS
When an SSH or RDP connection is lost, the VNC console is an important recovery tool. If you make a mistake in network or firewall settings, you can reach the server's screen directly and investigate the problem. For details, see the FiberVM panel and VNC console guide.
What does full management mean?
Having control of the server does not mean you have to do everything on your own. Depending on the service scope you request, you can get technical support with control panel installation, web service configuration, basic security settings, migration and troubleshooting. The scope of full management should be clarified before purchase, together with the software you will use and the expected workload.
Which projects is it suitable for?
- Türkiye-focused websites and e-commerce projects
- Multi-site hosting with cPanel or Plesk
- Game servers
- Corporate ERP, CRM and remote desktop systems
- API, SaaS and custom software services
- Docker-based development and test environments
Pre-purchase checklist
- Confirm the location against your target users.
- Calculate the application's CPU, RAM and disk needs.
- Read the port and traffic terms.
- Decide on your backup and restore plan.
- Find out the scope of DDoS protection and technical support.
- Check the upgrade path for when the project grows.
You can compare the current configurations on the Türkiye VDS server plans page. If you are unsure about your needs, share your usage scenario and our technical team can recommend a plan and management scope.
